In addition to these featured instruments, the sounds of music boxes were added to evoke the childlike innocence of these girls, and a selection of other accompanying instruments was then layered to complete the movie’s unusual musical landscape. Eventually, the Glass House “ensemble” was comprised of about twenty acoustic instruments along with a handful of sampled sounds.
The score to the Glass House was conceived, composed and recorded between May and July of 2008 in my recording studio in Los Angeles.
